Page Newsome

Page Newsome lives in Apex, NC and holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He began his teaching career in 2012 at Chatham Central High School. In 2014, he started a new band program at Highland Middle School. From 2016-2020, he taught at East Wake High School. He currently serves as Director of Bands at Middle Creek High School, where he has been since 2020. The marching band, concert bands, winter guard, and percussion programs have consistently earned successful superior ratings, and placed first in their class at local and regional competitions. He earned the NC-ECDBA Band Director of the Year Award in 2021. His professional affiliations include NAfME, NCBA, NCMEA, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. He has also served as camp counselor and conductor at the UNCG Summer Music Camp; All District Clinic Chair, HS Member at Large, President-Elect, President, and now Past President of NC East Central District Bandmasters association. He is a proud uncle of three energetic kiddos Lily, Lukas, and Lucy. Page is a dog dad of a 5 year old yellow lab rescue named Kate!
