Cody Beard serves as Student Programs Coordinator for the National Association for Music Education, where he works closely with the membership team to support the enrollment, communication, and events for NAfME student programs, including the Tri-M® Music Honor Society. In this role, he is dedicated to enhancing the student experience and supporting young musicians and educators through meaningful programming and engagement opportunities.

Based in Upstate South Carolina, Cody is also an active trumpet artist and educator with a specialization in historical trumpet performance. He is recognized as an emerging figure in early music and regularly performs as a baroque trumpeter with period ensembles such as the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra, Musica Transalpina, SC Bach and others. As a modern trumpet performer, Cody has appeared with ensembles including the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, Spartanburg Philharmonic, Greenville Symphony, and Charleston Symphony Orchestra, as well as touring groups such as Mannheim Steamroller and Celtic Woman.
