Hannah E. Cole received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Music in Music Education from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford. Hannah has taught all levels of band, starting her career as the Elementary Band Director in Ledyard, Connecticut for two years before moving to the position of Band Director at Captain Nathan Hale Middle School in Coventry for two years. From there, Hannah moved on to serve as the Band Director at Coventry High School (CHS) where she has been for the past six years. Hannah teaches two sections of band, percussion ensemble, jazz band, and AP Music Theory in addition to running pep band at home football games. Hannah also serves as the Tri-M Advisor and K-12 Music Department Coordinator. Under her guidance, CHS Tri-M Chapter 6609 won the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) CT Chapter of the Year for the 2021-22 school year. Hannah is an active member of NAfME, Connecticut Music Educators Association (CMEA), and the American School Band Directors Association. Outside of her position in Coventry, Hannah currently serves as the CMEA Professional Development Chair and the 2025 NAfME All Eastern Ensemble Chair. Most recently, Hannah has accepted the position as NAfME Music Honor Society Advisory Council Chair for the 2024-26 school year.
