Kim Henry is the Chief of Staff and Governance Relations at the National Association for Music Education where she is the primary liaison to the National Executive Board and other elected constituencies and assists the Executive Director with facilitating the work of the Association’s departments. During her tenure at NAfME, Kim was previously the Director of Governance and Administration, and Executive Assistant and Board Liaison.  

Before joining NAfME, Kim held administrative roles at the Partnership for a Healthier America, The Brookings Institution, BellSouth, Ashoka, and the White House Fellows Office. Kim has also worked on Capitol Hill as the Scheduler and Office Manager for former Congressman Christopher Carney of the PA-10, and as a Special Assistant in the Office of the First Lady in the Clinton White House. She has a bachelor’s degree in Politics from The Catholic University of America, and a master’s degree from the Graduate School of Political Management at The George Washington University, both in Washington, DC. Kim was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and now resides in Herndon, VA with her husband and son.
