Wayne Mallette

Wayne Mallette is Supervisor of Fine Arts for the Scotch Plains-Fanwood school district in New Jersey, formerly working at Summit High School as Director of Choirs and Music Theory and as musical director for their award-winning theatre program. He can also be seen giving various workshops as well as directing choirs.

Mallette holds his Bachelor’s in Music Education from Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts and Masters’ from Northwestern University (Music Education) and Ramapo College (Educational Leadership). Currently, he is pursuing his doctorate at Columbia University Teacher College.

Accolades include four Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards, Perry Award for Outstanding Musical Director, President of CJMEA, Choral Procedures Chair for the NJ All-State Choir and more. In addition, Wayne Mallette is also a member of ACDA, NAfMe and NJPSA.
