MENC’s Music Education Week include concerts, student performances, and advocacy opportunities — and the music education academies will give music educators in-depth exploration in one or more areas of study.
In addition to the academies, Music Education Week’s advocacy initiatives bookend the Washington, D.C. event.
- On Friday June 25, the Rally for Music Education and National Anthem Sing takes place in Upper Senate Park.
- MENC leadership, including the National Executive Board and state leaders, will participate in webinars and in-person training on advocacy and MENC messaging.
- MENC leaders will visit their lawmakers on Capitol Hill
- MENC will hold a wrap-up webinar where leaders will learn how to repurpose the messaging/training from Music Education Week for use at the state and local level.
