Register for December 9 Education Week Webinar on Classroom Evaluations for Arts Educators

On Monday, December 9, Dru Davison, fine arts adviser, Shelby County, Tennessee school district and a consultant for the Tennessee Department of Education and U.S. Department of Education, will participate in webinar titled Using Classroom Portfolios to Evaluate Arts Educators. The webinar takes place from 2 to 3 p.m. ET.

In October, Davison spoke at Preconference for the 2013 NAfME In-Service Conference in Nashville. At that session for the National Association for Music Education he discussed the logistics of creating and implementing Standards-based evaluation systems that measure student growth, and are also fair to music educators.

Marcy Singer-Gabella, education professor and associate chairwoman of teacher education, Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College, will also participate in the webinar, which will be moderated by Erik Robelen, assistant managing editor, Education Week.
