Happy Music In Our Schools Month® (MIOSM®)! To celebrate this school year’s theme continues as “United Through Music,” representing how music has the power to bring individuals together. MIOSM is a national event to celebrate and raise awareness around the importance of music education for all students—and to remind citizens that school is where all students should have access to music. Music educators from across the country use MIOSM as a platform to bring the attention of students, families, local community members, and state and local elected officials to their school’s music program and the benefits that music provides to students of all ages.

This updated social media toolkit includes a link to an advocacy campaign currently underway for fall 2025, with critical emphasis on action needed for September 2025. It will be updated as needed during the school year. Please join in advocating for music education
