In this webinar, we interview Dr. Peter Miksza, editor of the SRME research journal JRME, Journal of Research in Music Education. He helps us to understand the elements and purposes of this journal, the submission process, and perspectives of the reviewers and the review process. Finally, he provides advice to novice researchers for common errors and what makes an ideal manuscript for the journal.  Questions:

  • What types of research protocols and methodologies are included in published JRME articles
  •  Describe some common errors seen in manuscripts submitted to the JRME.
  • How many issues does the JRME publish per year?
  • What is the typical acceptance rate for the JRME?
  • What is the target audience for JRME readers?

Recorded November 2024.
