NAfME Teaching with Primary Sources Curriculum Units for the 2014 Music Standards

This Unit aligns with the Advanced Level standards and assumes students have completed an equivalent of 7–8 years of study in an ensemble in addition to core or general music. This Unit has been developed in conjunction with the Band Proficient Level Unit, which can be used to scaffold instruction for varied levels of learning. The instrumentation for the small ensembles is flexible and designed to allow for any combination of musicians, class sizes or by individuals. This unit is suitable for instruction in multiple delivery methods (in-person, hybrid, online).
