Want Your Students’ Performance to Appear on the NAfME Website During Music In Our Schools Month®?

 

 

 

The music and audio tracks for the 2014 Concert for Music In Our Schools Month® are online and available to all active NAfME members!

All NAfME members are encouraged to create and submit a video of their students performing 1 or 2 of the great songs from the 2014 Concert for MIOSM list. Videos will be posted on the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) website during March, 2014.

NAfME designates March as Music In Our Schools Month (MIOSM® each year. In March, 2014 the school video that receives the most views from students, parents, teachers, and your community will receive a prize, which will be determined by NAfME and a sponsor.

It’s easy to participate!

Simply follow NAfME video production guidelines to create your own MIOSM video.  Post it on the NAfME Vimeo channel before January 31, 2014 for NAfME review. (Instructions coming soon!) Videos accepted will appear on the NAfME website during March 2014.

Completed student consent and teacher confirmation forms  for video appearances must be received by NAfME before February 15, 2014.  Send forms to:

The 2014 repertoire this year offers something for all students grades K-12, and songs are generously provided by concert sponsor, Hal Leonard Corporation. A member log-in is required. The songs are:

Be a part of NAfME’s 29-year tradition—the Concert for Music In Our Schools Month! Demonstrate to school administrators, parents, and local decision makers, the importance of school music programs with a performance of any of the concert songs during March 2014.
