About the Event

Join the members of the Council for Guitar Education, chaired by Kevin Vigil, as we answer your pedagogical guitar questions. We will create breakout rooms to specifically address your needs in the classroom. After you have registered, please fill out this survey in advance of the Town Hall to assist us with preparation.

Kevin VigilKevin Vigil (Dr. V) holds degrees from Shenandoah University (DMA), Yale University, (MM) and the University of Memphis (BM). He joined the faculty of Heritage High School in 2005-06. He was named the 2014 Shenandoah University Teacher of the Year for LCPS and presented with a Sir Winston Churchill Commemorative Crown by Churchill Fellow Helen Sanderson for his work in guitar education (2017). In 2020, Dr. V was chosen as the Joan C. Edwards Distinguished Professor in the Arts at Marshall University. 


NAfME presents this live virtual event at no charge to all as a service to the music education profession. To register, you must enter your NAfME member information or create a nonmember account. After registering, check your email for instructions. A recording of this program will be available to all registrants for one week following the live event. Members can also view archived NAfME webinars in the NAfME Academy.
