About the Event

How can the 100 year old tradition of Dalcroze Eurhythmics offer relevant insights into modern classroom music teaching? Anthony Molinaro shares some tips, tricks, and tools that highlight elements of the method that inspire meaningful connections between teachers, students, music, and movement. This webinar will invite participation, even in the virtual space, giving teachers a wealth of activities to try with their classes as well as insightful philosophies that aspire to a more artistic and expressive form of music education.

Anthony Molinaro headshotWith more than 17 years’ experience in public school classrooms on both coasts of the United States, Anthony Molinaro created an authentic Dalcroze classroom in his elementary school in Grove City, Pennsylvania. He is also a faculty member and guest lecturer at Carnegie Mellon University, where he earned a master’s in music education. He has been a featured presenter at district, state and national conferences events around the country and has served as the board chair and treasurer of the Dalcroze Society of America. Through a partnership with, He created a series of Dalcroze-based lessons for QuaverEd, is the host and producer of a podcast titled The New Dalcrozian, and maintains a SubStack newsletter titled MusicXT – Moments and Movement with many instructional videos and content to help embrace the Dalcroze approach in a public school setting.
