About the Event

The first 90 days of the school year are only the beginning. As music program leaders move into the middle of the year, priorities shift: budgets and purchasing cycles emerge, recruitment and matriculation decisions take shape, teachers and programs need different kinds of support, and leaders must anticipate what is coming before the second semester begins.

In this Council-led colloquium, experienced music program leaders will share how they think ahead, organize the work, and problem-solve during the next 90 days. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all checklist, panelists will highlight practical approaches from different district contexts and discuss what they are watching, planning for, and acting on now. Participants will leave with ideas they can adapt to their own setting and a clearer framework for anticipating the next phase of the school year.
