From the Top Seeks Talented Students for 2010-2011

From the Top, the preeminent showcase for young musicians, announces its 2010-2011 national radio taping tour, which will include concert events from its home at New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall in Boston to cities from Athens, GA to Yountville, CA. For more than a decade, From the Top has celebrated the energy of America’s kids and the power of classical music.

LOOKING FOR TALENT

Do you know a stellar young classical musician? From the Top seeks young classical musicians to feature on our radio and television programs. Who is eligible?

  • Soloists (instrumental or vocal) and Composers
  • Small & Large Ensembles
  • Ages 8-18
  • Not yet enrolled full-time in college or conservatory
  • United States resident (or significant training connection to the U.S.)

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Students with financial need may also be eligible for From the Top’s Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award, which provides up to $10,000 to deserving pre-collegiate musicians who are selected to appear on From the Top. Application information
