House to Vote on ESEA Re-authorization Today

Today, as anticipated, the House of Representatives will vote on the conference report for the re-authorized Elementary and Secondary Education Act, named the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The House convened at 10 a.m. this morning for morning business and is expected to take up legislative business at approximately 1:15 p.m. ESSA is first on today’s docket, so we anticipate that voting for ESSA will commence at that time or shortly after. If we receive more detailed information on the schedule, we will send those updates.

House floor action can be viewed live via the House streaming web page, here: http://www.house.gov/content/features/story2/. Additionally, we will be providing updates via our Twitter feed (or follow @NAfME on your mobile device).
