Lisa Mink is NAfME Constituency Engagement Manager, where she provides support to the organization’s work with the State MEAs, Societies, and Councils. She will also be involved in the preparation and organization of the conferences and meetings held by the association.

As a career switcher, Lisa brings with her 12 years of teaching experience to better assist each NAfME member such as herself. Lisa’s experience spans from Elementary General Music to Middle School Band and Orchestra instructor, as well as assisting High School Marching Band. She cherished the opportunity to share her love of music with her students, offering them performance possibilities through each grade level, encouraging participation in instrumental concerts as well as recorder ensembles.

Lisa first joined the NAfME team from 2012-2015, as Professional Development Manager. During that time, she had a key role in launching NAfME’s Learning Network, a series of online professional development webinars. She played an integral part in assisting with the scheduling and preparation of three National Conferences.

Lisa graduated from the Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam, with a Bachelors of Music in Music Education and Music Business and a Masters in Education from SUNY Potsdam. She plays the clarinet and continues to fuel her love for music by performing in the Fredericksburg Concert Band, in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

During her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, as well as her two dogs, Ryder and Ladybug.

“One of the most beautiful things we can give our child is music education.” ~Gloria Estefan
