Advisors and Students: Register today for the March 10 Spring Celebration!

Why Tri-M®?

In a phrase, perform, lead, and serve.

A Tri-M® Music Honor Society chapter opens up a world of opportunities for students who have already shown themselves to be academically capable and musically gifted. Through performance and community service, they’ll develop confidence, creativity, critical thinking, compassion, and a host of other leadership skills sure to serve them well in school and beyond.

UPCOMING EVENT

Join the Music Honor Society Advisory Council on March 10, 2026 to celebrate all things Tri-M®! This event will highlight some of the wonderful projects that have happened so far this year across the country, feature special collaborative breakout rooms featuring NAfME Collegiate members, and hear from last year’s Chapter of the Year recipients and learn how you can apply for these awards!

For Educators

A Tri-M® Music Honor Society chapter offers students, grades 6 through 12, the chance to perform, places them in leadership positions, and gives them the opportunity to serve the community.

For Students

A Tri-M® Music Honor Society chapter in your school will give you countless opportunities to perform, lead, and serve the community.

SOCIAL OR SERVICE?

TRI-M® MUSIC HONOR SOCIETY HAS A PLACE FOR YOU

"I’d love to start a Tri-M® Music Honor Society chapter but I just don’t have the time.” This is a common challenge for music teachers on all levels. You would love to provide an opportunity for your students but just can’t find room to add a chapter to your already packed teaching and performance schedule. See how three music teachers have found creative ways to incorporate Tri-M® into their programs by using events they already host and utilizing their Tri-M® members to assist with recruitment and service projects.
