Madeline Boyles, Strategic Initiatives and Student Programs Manager

Maddie Boyles ( serves as the Strategic Initiatives and Student Programs Manager and has served the association in various roles since 2018. In her current position she manages the All-National Honor Ensembles, the composition competitions, the George N. Parks award, and assists with fundraising efforts for the association.

Maddie started playing flute in 5th grade and has been heavily involved in music and the arts ever since. In high school she was a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. She went on to study music in college and has earned a degree in Music Education from James Madison University (JMU). While studying at university, Maddie was a member of the JMU NAfME Collegiate chapter and the Marching Royal Dukes.

Prior to joining NAfME, Maddie gained experience working as the Ticket Services and Group Sales Intern at the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts and as the National Symphony Orchestra Education Intern at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Maddie also has experience working as a substitute teacher in Virginia public schools.

In her spare time, Maddie enjoys working on craft projects, going on hikes in the Shenandoah Mountains, and bird watching with the Piedmont Virginia Bird Club.
